Highlighted ISA Activity For the Month of February 2015

  • ISA’s President and several board members participated in President Obama’s Cyber Security Summit which featured his signing an Executive Order on Information Sharing
  • The ISA board of directors followed up the President’s Summit with a conference call exclusively devoted to public policy. The board mapped out a short-term strategy on information sharing and agreed to develop an intermediate and long term strategy built around a revised version of the ISA Social Contract.
  • In partnership with the world’s second largest, and independently rated as top law firm on privacy and security, DLA Piper, ISA launched the CyberTrak service. CyberTrak , a one-stop-shop for cyber security laws and regulations for 23 key markets around the world was designed by the ISA board to lower costs for multi-jurisdictional companies in complying with cyber regulations.   • The Communication Security Reliability Council’s Report on barriers and incentives for implementing the NIST Framework, Chaired by ISA was completed and submitted to the FCC
  • ISA met with the GAO, at their request, to discuss ways improve private sector’s partnerships with the government.
  • ISA delivered the keynote address at the Public Health Information (PHI) Forum summit in Anaheim California where ISA addressed the increasing need to increase the cyber security of the data gathered and stored by healthcare providers.
