The Internet Security Alliance (ISA) is excited to announce that the Japan Business Federation (KEIDANREN) will adapt ISA’s Cyber-Risk Oversight Handbook for Japanese boards of directors.

KEIDANREN – whose membership consists of over 1,400 Japanese companies, 109 industry associations and 47 regional economic organizations – has agreed to take ISA’s corporate cybersecurity governance handbook and translate it into Japanese and integrate unique considerations for Japanese corporate boards.

“We are very excited to bring the ISA’s Cyber-Risk Oversight Handbook to Japanese board audiences,” said Takashi Yoshimura, director of KEIDANREN’s Industrial Technology Bureau. “As cybersecurity threats continue to grow, it is more and more imperative that corporate boards be given the right tools to ensure their organizations are managing their cyber risk effectively.”

The cyber-risk handbooks have now been adapted across four continents and have been independently assessed by Pricewaterhouse Coopers to produce positive outcomes within organizations.

“KEIDANREN’s interest in promoting these proven-effective principles to Japanese boards of directors is a testament to the emergence of a truly global approach for boards to oversee their organizations’ cybersecurity,” said ISA President and CEO Larry Clinton. “We look forward to collaborating with KEIDANREN to help Japanese boards take their cyber oversight to the next level.”
